I found some very old writings of mine that I thought were long since lost.
Its pretty amazing to see where my mind has taken me through the years, where Christ has developed me and changed my focuses. This may disturb some, however the bright side is.... this is where I USED to be, not where I am or where I am going.
Hope you enjoy. there is more to come soon
Life of Me
Give up on being happy
Life is a cruel, cruel place
All the tears surround me
And console my sorrowed face
Gravity has got hold my head
and on the way down I now see
All the people that I've stepped on
Not one, not two, not three...
The more I sit and think about
the way I dream of life
The more I sit and ponder of
Why not to take my life
In torment I try to shout
Nothing develops, not a bloody cry
In anguish I dream of heaven
Dreaming, "Please! Just let me die"!
As slowly I begin to realize
About all these selfish things
I am once again reminded
Of what my Promise brings
You see I was put here for a purpose
Maybe not exciting, but definatley nothing plain
But a purpose none the less
Because Jesus knows my name.

Okay, I wrote a comment and then clicked "submit or publish" and it never showed up.
But I said..
I'm glad you are happy now :-) but in all seriousness, this is a really good writing. You wrote from your heart and God can handle that. Life can be dark and gloomy at times but it is so wonderful to know that our life does have meaning. We do have a purpose- even if we don't know what that purpose is.
Then I wrote something to the effect that it really is true that today is the day of salvation and that our life with Jesus starts now-not when we die. For if we are truly following after God, He is with us all the time. Our eternity with him starts now and it will be even greater in heaven. We are just passing through this Earth to our destination with meeting our maker face to face in heaven.
It really is true, the saying that goes, "Earth is the closest thing to Hell that Christians will ever experience and Earth is the closest thing to Heaven that non Christians will ever experience."
My original posting sounded better but that is basically what I said. :-)
